How do our ACC dietitians work?
Our dietitians work with clients in their homes, via Telehealth, in clinics, or at a mutually agreed location (eg supermarket). We offer a client-centred approach, where we listen to our clients’ concerns and their rehabilitation goals. During their sessions with us, we will help your clients to build a positive and peaceful relationship with food and their body, to support all their rehabilitation needs.
Where are our dietitians located?
ABC Nutrition has a team of dietitians located throughout New Zealand, with dietitians located in Auckland and Dunedin. We are able to offer in-home, clinic, or telehealth consultations depending on your client’s needs and location.
How do we refer a client to ABC Nutrition?
Providers: We partner with a number of ACC suppliers across New Zealand to provide dietetic services (listed below). If you provide services to one of these suppliers, please send us a referral via your supplier’s usual referral pathway. If you do not work with one of our suppliers, please request that your supplier contact us, to discuss how we can work together. Alternatively, you can also advise ACC that your preferred dietitian provider is ABC Nutrition, and ACC will send us your referral via one of our suppliers.
Suppliers: If you are a supplier that is looking for dietitian support, please contact us to discuss how we can work together to support your kiritaki.
Referrers eg GPs: Please contact ACC directly to find out whether dietetic input is covered for your patient’s claim. If it is, then please request that ACC kindly list ABC Nutrition as their preferred dietetic provider and please send us a referral via one of the ACC suppliers we partner with (listed below)
Self Referrals: If you have an ACC claim yourself, please contact ACC or your Case Manager to determine if dietitian input is funded as part of your claim. If it is, you can then request that ACC list ABC Nutrition as the preferred provider for dietetic services and kindly send us a referral via one of the ACC suppliers we partner with (listed below).
