BCApSC (Human Nutrition), PGDIpDiet, NZRD
Alayne qualified as a New Zealand Registered Dietitian over 12 years ago, after completing her nutrition and dietetic qualifications through Otago University. She has spent most of her career working within hospitals and the public sector, gaining extensive experience in a wide range of areas within the hospital and community. She is a specialist in the areas of diabetes, renal disease and bariatric surgery (including the use of Optifast), as well as nutrition for weight management. She has lead national projects in diabetes, and is also a guest lecturer at Massey University.
Alayne believes in the power of nutrition for health and wellbeing. She works hard to explore a realistic and achievable approach to finding health with her clients, through everyday foods and easy to understand messages. She is a firm believer in the ‘health at every size’ concept.
Outside of work, Alayne has a husband and 2 young boys that help keep her active and busy.
